The winner for the 2016 Coal Hill Review Chapbook Contest is Herald by Roberta Feins!

Of Feins’s work, Gerry LaFemina says “Rooted in the body and in the world, these poems are harbingers of a world in which faith is challenged, the human is lifted high, and doubt praised, forcing us to ask the tough questions of the divine and of ourselves.”

There were over 300 submissions to the contest this year and we were excited and stunned by the quality of the work. We thank you all for submitting, and we hope you’ll continue visiting Coal Hill Review for updates and to read our poetry, prose, and reviews!
